When you drag and drop the barcode in the report design surface, it will initially display a default QR Code barcode with text "Nevron Barcode for SSRS". This means that after drag and drop the barcode is by default initialized to have one barcode area that is switched to matrix QR Code barcode. You can open the barcode properties to further modify the barcode.

You can show the barcode report item properties dialog by right clicking on the report item and choosing the Properties command.

The Barcode Properties Dialog is constructed by hierarchically organized tabs and has a preview of the barcode located on top. Changes to the actual barcode report item are not applied until you press the Apply or OK buttons located at the right bottom side of the dialog.

The Barcode Properties Dialog consists of the following major tabs:

• Barcode tab - lets you edit the barcode areas and titles and all properties associated with them.
• Data tab - lets you select a data set and the report item filters.
• Code tab - lets you type custom code that is executed at runtime. For more information check out the Code Embedding topic.
